Flickering Lights
The lights flicker in silence
I grow patience inside me
I learn to wait.
When I am alone
I write the name beautifully
Only in my mind where the tears
Are mine, and memories arrest me.
The room is red in darkness
No spoken words, I bleed.
Celebrating an interlude
Of thoughts, then swift
A sweeping feeling around me.
In solitude, the stars scattered
All around, I begin to shatter.
It’s ok..life will get better.
