FATHER’S DAY

It is Sunday morning  here is Australia, not Father’s Day here either (September) but I thought it appropriate to honor all the fathers who celebrate this day around the world.  For most dads it will probably come and go again with a card, a phone call or a gift…I have to admit that I did the same thing for many years.  My Father’s not here anymore, on this day I can’t phone him…I can’t talk to him anymore…I can’t wish him a HappyFather’s day.  We should not wait for a special day to tell our Father’s we love them, for a Father means so many things:-

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,

He called it … Dad.

Thank you…Truer words could not be expressed.
Every moment used wisely becomes a gem added to the memory chest…priceless treasures to hold dear to the heart…for us to gain strength and wisdom at their recall.
Your inspiring words will have me consciously plucking a such a moment from the garden of memories I will have made today while spending time with my dad.
