SOUL OF RADIANCE (One-Shot Wednesday)

Oh Soul of Radiance

Friend of the stars

You fill the dark sky

Oh light of my life

I call to you

Please come to me

To hold me close

Your voice in a chant

I will sing this song

To your loving soul

For to lift your heart

And keep you from fear

There is no danger

A lantern to steer

To show you the way

And let in the light

  8. what a love poem with a classic touch. love is really a great source of inspiration.

  9. I spent my forties working with horses – all kinds – every day. Such wonderful creatures that get under your skin, so close, and yet, there is always that sense of them being from another universe; even when they love us, they still remain aloof to so much of who and what we are. We only ever connect for fleeting moments, when we do, it’s pure heaven, and there’s always the possibility that a simple shaded path or flickering rag will frighten them and in their panic they can cause great harm or even kill the caught-unawares rider. This poem and illustration really brought me back to those days – to those feelings of being so close, yet so far away. I really enjoyed it. Thank you!

    • Cindy, your comment made we think of when I was a little girl, my grandparents lived on a farm and a neighbour came visiting with his horse. I was captivated by this wonderful creature and slowly tippy-toed to touch his tail (and not frighten him!!!) Needless to say, I ended up quite a few meters from there. Since then I have overcome my fear, love and respect them to death. I feel a close connection to horses….Thanks for being here my dear friend, I truly appreciate your presence and will gladly return the compliment. Have a great day ~ Amanda x

Lovely words. I am always amazed at the pics and music you use to accompany them!

  32. The words flow into an ocean-like ending satiating the senses with lovely imageries that drowns the heart.

Any reader would want to swim to this river of words and bathe to the ocean of this poetry to drown to the loveliness and re-surface satiated from the brimful of gifts.

    I wish you well.
