Remember When…..

Sometimes…

Just sometimes

I sit and wonder

water droplets

against the glass

twilight gloaming

ambrosia of love

so tough to hold

the walls of my heart

pressed in memories

between the pages

of a forgotten book

pictures in my mind

the long road home

I wonder ….

Very beautiful, and definitely felt a tone of sadness in it too. Maybe the “wonder” and “pictures” in the mind grant to the “long road home” that heart within, to treasure the journey.

I must say dear friend your words, talent you share, could be one of the most UNforgettable books written!!!! Beautiful! 🙂 *hugs* ~April

  14. These lines were especially poignant for me:

    >> pressed in memories

    >> between the pages

  17. “beautiful longing”, yes, Chris G. said it… I loved

    pressed in memories

    between the pages

    of a forgotten book

  18. Very sad seeming. At least in the way I read it. Excellent words my friend.

  19. I really liked the conversational, somewhat hesitant, tone of the first two lines. and then the way this (to me at least) gallops through images that we know are about love, like you are trying to find the right image to express perfectly what you feel but it just keeps slipping just out of your hand.

And thank you for your continual support and kind words.

    • You have described it to perfection my dear friend…exactly how I felt when I wrote it. I love coming to visit your page as I always wonder how you are 🙂 Sweet dreams Lawrence xx

  20. Oh, the most completely lovely post.

Amanda, maybe you would consider a post about your artwork … media and so forth … would be interesting. Just a thought.

The illustration reminds me of the Taoist Yin/Yang symbol. Beautiful … and such pleasing soft color… peachy.
