Tons of emotion in this one, Mandie.. Hope the rains/floods are slowing down…
Butterflies can make even a storm look so beautiful..can’t they? Your poem evoked a tad bit of sadness from me… the depth in it is amazing! Like only you can manage, sweetie!
I hope all’s well with you…
Lots of love from the Big Apple!
Dear Amanda, what is the status in your land? Has the rain stopped? I was touched by your butterflies being pelted by rain, your words of endurance through troubled times, and the video of horror playing out in shades of gray, black, and scarlet. My heart goes out to you. The storm will pass and the sunlight will shine again. Prayers are going up for you all over the globe and here in my home. Be still and wait for blessings to come… xxoo
Thanks so much my dearest Carol…the rain has stopped now, the true devastation is coming to light more and more. It will take a very long time for things to get back to normal but everyone is just unbelievable…standing together in times of need…it brings tears to my eyes all of the time. Thanks for your thoughts…it means so much my friend. Lots of love to you and yours oxoxox
wow.. thats a lovely poem there…

such is the downfall of innocence is its fragile structure, easily broken and corrupted. But how beautiful and pure it is for a time. Nicely written piece, bravo!
I love this poem. It rings true to a time when I was overcome by loss. Perhaps the most horrible truth about humanity is that broken hearts do someday heal.
This is so significant in light of what you have been experiencing in down there. I hope things are better. Difficulty does inspire powerful poetry. Victoria
I gave into her flight, only for awhile.
Then I had to let her go.
Her metamorphosis was wretched.
Until I saw her in HER light.
Then it was too late, I couldn’t catch it.
Gentle words that are very powerful…like the beauty in one raindrop and the devastation that results when trillions collide. I am glad to see that you are safe and dry to be able to express your experience with your artistic words. Take care!
Buttercup I have a 2zpoint face book and I am inviting my favorites and my favorite’s favorite authors, artist, and interesting characters to come. There are many different types of authors but I believe them to be awesome people to know and I would like you to come too but I don’t know how to send you a friend request. sprinkled on a thousand hills -just fabulous, you’re singing to my soul here!

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Dylan Thomas
This is my attitude towards the passage of time…wonderful write my friend.

I really liked the lines “with bleeding hearts we smile / while everything turns to dust” Very beautiful and such an inspirational piece.
