covert pain
written across
the pages
of my soul
naked and exposed
where wounds
were bravely born
my inner child
derailed
where I linger
in this space
surrendering
among the puzzles
of reasons why

paint me a rainbow
in colours of red
the jewel of
my essence
rising
on wings
of
stone

As is often the case, your poem has me pondering the emotions which engendered the verse…another well crafted poem IMHO.
